She’s so fucking adorable.

I feel compelled to reblog this set and talk about it a little (or a lot…I am a mouthy cunt at times), because it really does touch me and make me think. I told Him that this set is basically me.

I love the way she rubs against him, melting into his touch. It’s heart-meltingly sweet — is there any devotion and worship like that of a happy slavegirl? — but also hungry and primal. She craves being close to him with such force that it wouldn’t even be humanly possible to truly sate her. She would crawl into his skin with him if she could.

What hits me hardest, though, is the abject desperation and soul-deep need that pervades her as she looks up at him and begs him to keep her, to find some value in her. Look at how she rocks, soothing herself as she also seeks comfort in his touch, his eyes, his words.

Her need is naked, almost palpable. Her entire soul is laid bare. It’s pathetic in the true, original sense of the world.

But instead of being embarrassed for her, I admire and respect her. We are all full of desperation and need. But we hide and deny it, because we fear it could be seen as weakness, vulnerability. She has embraced her need, her desperation, her flawed humanity — and sublimated it into something so true and beautiful that it breaks my heart and makes me smile at the same time. She’s not ashamed. She’s not hiding anything. She is who she is, and she needs what she needs.

I want to get there. I’m not quite to that level of acceptance on my particular brand of neediness. But every day is another chance to learn and improve.
