Q

Maybe I'm inferring too much. Would you agree powerless people of different sexes have more in common with each other than members of the same sex who have vastly disparate incomes or societal positions?
A
Yes. The biggest mistake of mainstream feminism is lumping all men together, when in reality the men who are being victimized by the patriarchy (a great majority of them) should be their allies.
It’s like when slavery was abolished and wealthy whites began promoting racial superiority to poor whites - by separating the poor whites and blacks, they were better able to control both groups and stop them from working together, when in reality their goals were exactly the same. Essentially, they just convinced the two groups to get caught up in a bunch of bullshit and distract each other from accomplishing anything.
Similarly, the feminism conversation is now one massive circle jerk of people screaming adversarial bullshit at each other. Profit motivated hashtag feminists vs men who think all feminists want to cut off men’s cocks. Anything in the middle is drowned out and ignored by anyone other than scholars and never breaks into the mainstream. Caught up in a bunch of bullshit.
Hear, hear!
